Dover Shores in Newport Beach includes several communities: Harbor Highlands 1 & Harbor Highlands 2 are the entry-level homes. Baycrest South, Baycrest North, Westcliff, and Dover Shores feature higher-priced residences.
Because the neighborhood was built in the 1950s, there is a wide variety of prices and styles. You may find an original 1950’s cottage, and next door a new massive beautiful home. In the Dover Shores tract many homes are on the waterfront.
There are two private beaches for the residents to enjoy. Have a party, picnic or enjoy “Movie Night” on the beach every Tuesday evening during the summer. Neighbors take turns bringing dinner for everyone to enjoy. This is quite the party! Although the beaches are private, if you don’t live in the community, you can probably find a friend who can get you in.
Other amenities in the Dover Shores – Westcliff communities are the Newport Beach Aquatic Center, where you can rent kayaks, Mariners Park, the Newport Beach Library, and the experience of 17th street. On 17th street you will find restaurants, bakeries, various shops, hair salons, & just about anything you may need. Dover Shores – Westcliff communities are also part of the very popular Mariners Elementary School in the Newport – Mesa School District.
There are many nice features of living in this area, and of course you are only a short distance from the Pacific ocean.
